NPOC participates in African Internet Summit

On June 16th, NPOC will be joining members of the ICANN community to participate in the African Internet Summit being held June 9 to June 21st in Kampala, Uganda.  The Summit, a multi-stakeholder event, will focus on information and communication technologies with a series of seminars, workshops, tutorials, and panels.

NPOC is pleased to join ICANN Community, industry and Internet leaders to inform them on NPOC’s role, and higlight the ways NPOC is planning to engage and build capacity within the African continent to enable participation the Policy Development Process.   

Since 2012, the AIS has been a key regional event and an effective platform for us to engage with diverse groups of African stakeholders and raise awareness about ICANN and issues affecting the domain name industry.
The summit is co-organized by the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) and the African Network Operators Group (AFNOG). ICANN is a platinum sponsor and a key participant of the event, with various activities planned by ICANN.org and community members.
