2019 election timeline

Dear NPOC Members,

I am following up on the email sent by the NCSG Chair. As the email states, due to the new ICANN travel deadline requiring120 days to process travel plans. The best possible option that evolved is to align the election dates making it easier for the election processes, including the Stakeholder Group and Constituencies, elected positions.
Many thanks to members who joined the call to hear the candidates this morning.  I am happy that there are three contested positions, (how great is that for NPOC).

Therefore, our elections timeline is the following:

May 13 – June 07	Check in period
23 May – 06 June	Nomination period
07 June:	Deadline for nomination acceptance and candidate statement.Check in ends.
09 June:	Voter roll finalized
08/09 June:	Meet the candidates calls
10 June – 23 June:	Voting Period
24 June:	Results announced

Please note that the period from the election to taking office is a four (4) months.
